Make sure you have installed Blender 3.4 or higher, 4.2 and newer is recommended to have all features.

To preserve data during addon update, see the Updating procedure.

For Blender from version 3.4 to version 4.1, see the instructions below. For Blender 4.2 Beta, use the BlenderDMX Addon Extension.

BlenderDMX Addon installation

  1. From the Download page, download the open_stage_blender_dmx-1.9.3.zip
  2. Open Blender
  3. Edit → Preferences → Add-ons → Install
  4. Select the downloaded zip file
  5. To enable the addon, go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons, search for "DMX" and toggle the checkbox on.
  6. The addon is then placed in the Sidebar. The Sidebar can be displayed/hidden by pressing N or by clicking onto the small arrow on the side:
