Installation

Make sure you have installed Blender 3.4 or higher. Version 4.x is supported but do note that when importing MVR files, Blender 4.x can be 10x slower then Blender 3.x .

To preserve data during addon update, see the Updating procedure.

For Blender from version 3.4 to version 4.1, see the instructions below. For Blender 4.2 Beta, use the BlenderDMX Extension.

BlenderDMX Addon installation

  1. Download the zip file from the Download page.
  2. Open Blender
  3. Edit → Preferences → Add-ons → Install
  4. Select the downloaded zip file
  5. To enable the addon, go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons, search for "DMX" and toggle the checkbox on.
  6. The addon is then placed in the Sidebar. The Sidebar can be displayed/hidden by pressing N or by clicking onto the small arrow on the side:
